NYCN LEADERSHIP DISSOCIATES SELF FROM HONOR CONFERRED ON FORMER PRESIDENT OLUSEGUN OBASANJO BY VILLAINS
“Only The Honorable Can/Must Confer Honors”
A national fraud was yesterday carried out in Abeokuta in the name of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, by charlatans running rackets with the collective identity of Nigeria Youths.
The National Leadership of National Youth Council of Nigeria was dismayed on conceiving the news of an honor conferred on former President of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo as “Father of the Nation” and a donation of One Million Naira cheque to buy books to Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential library by one Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere and Nihi Oladele John in the name of the National Youth Council of Nigeria. This occurrence is not only unfortunate but a national robbery in broad daylight.
The leadership of the Council has on several occasion dissociate self from Ikenga and Niyi who are political jobbers without virtue, known scavengers. They are long fordrive from the activities of the council and does not represent the interest/structure of the council at any level. The general public is therefore advised not to fall victim of the duo.
It’s worrisome that a prominent personality as the former President of Nigeria could fall prey of swindlers who have successfully rob off his integrity in the name of Award and Cheque presentation. It’s expected of the former President to ascertain the authenticity of the group and their claims before opening his door to the impostors.
It’s quite perturbing to believe the former President is desperate for honors to have fallen for such a dupe. It’s a shame to assume its a deliberate act by the former President to support illegality and division among Nigeria Youth. To be worthy of the honor one must be able to stand for what is right.
The National leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria under the leadership of Amb. Sukubo Sariagbe Sukubo hereby distances self and Nigeria Youth from the Abeokuta charade as it does not have the backing of Nigeria Youth and it’s orchestrated by impostors of the Council. If the former President is to be honored, this will be the decision of Nigeria Youth with due process. The Youth Council is not a platform for the political jamboree, and our leadership has zero tolerance for such.

Beneficiaries who cut across different enterprises included fish farmers, music producers, restaurant owners, beauty and fashion designers, digital printing businesses among others.
The company charged beneficiaries to be dedicated in their business ventures and to further empower others.
The president, National Youth Council of Nigeria Amb Sukubo
Sara-igbe Sukubo, whole-heartedly expresses his gratitude to the
President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic
of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR for the approval of the Belema Oil
Crude oil Exporting terminal in Akuku-toru local Government area of
The approval by the Federal Government Authorizing
Belema Oil, an indigenous oil firm to operate a new floating crude oil
export terminal off the coast of *kula* is a welcome development.
The new terminal which will be known as Belema Oil Terminal, Kula, is
expected to create more than 10,000 jobs and other opportunities for
unemployed youths in Kula kingdom, Akuku-Toru LGA, Rivers State, Niger
Delta and Nigeria in general.
Kula, the highest producer of oil
and gas as a single community in the country, at the peak of it’s
production, produces about 200,000 barrels of oil with 1,500,000 cf of
gas contributing to the National economy with about N5,000,000,000,000
(five billion naira) per day. The oil windfall era of previous
governments had never recognized us so.
This singular act of Mr.
President, revives our faith in the policies and programs of this
administration, and we can strongly affirm that this administration is
more than determined to ensure that the Youths of Nigeria are gainfully
and productively engaged.
It is therefore a glorious coincidence
that I, a son of Kula, has also been given the opportunity to lead the
youth of Nigeria as President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria.
Both opportunities will go a long way in assuaging the tears and
hardship borne out of years of neglect of the people of Kula and Niger
I equally thank *President Muhammadu Buhari* for his love
to me as a person and his unalloyed support to the apex youth body in
the country, the National Youth Council of Nigeria.

𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵! 𝗠𝘆 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵. You will recall that on the 𝟮𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬, our beloved country Nigeria recorded the first case of corona virus (COVID-19). Since then, the governments at all levels have been battling to contain the virus with every available measure in order to reduce its spread to a manageable level.
Consequently, the Federal Government, State and Local Governments have developed various strategies in ensuring that citizens are not terribly affected by the virus. These include the total lockdown of some parts of the country and partial lockdown in others.
These actions though in good faith have, however, caused hardship to citizens of the country especially the youth population most of who rely on daily means of substenance.
It is on the strength of this therefore, that, I, the 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮 in collaboration with my Executive members and some critical partners deem it necessary to give out some 𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮 to cushion the effects of the lockdown as a result of the 𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗗-𝟭𝟵.
Accordingly, the Youth Council under my leadership is giving out (𝟮𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬) 𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗮𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲: 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶, 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
This gesture as I mentioned earlier, is in collaboration with the 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗮 𝗢𝗶𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝘁𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸-𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗧𝗶𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗶𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
To ensure effective and equitable distribution of the items, the following Committees have been constituted in the six (6) Geopolitical Zones :
Furthermore, the 𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 will commence today the 𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝘆, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹.
I also enjoin all youths to adhere strictly to every 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 put in place by their respective 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 including the 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀 and 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗼𝗮𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀. I also want to use this medium to commend the efforts of the 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮 in combating this virus. I specially thank the 𝟯𝟲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 and timely steps in tackling the deadly virus in their respective states. In the same vein, I implore the 𝟯𝟲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻 of the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮, all ethnic youth groups, 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 to comply to the various directives given by the 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱-𝟭𝟵, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗖𝗗𝗖 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗿𝘀 as well as the 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻 in order to 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 and 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱-𝟭𝟵.
On behalf of 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵, I express my profound appreciation to the 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 who are the frontline soldiers in this war against 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱-𝟭𝟵 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 for the selfless and dedicated services.
Permit me to also use this medium to commend the efforts of my amiable 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗲 for turning around the Youth Sector within the short time of his assumption of office. I pledge the 𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘆 of the 𝗡𝗬𝗖𝗡 and our 𝘁𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 to partner with the Ministry to ensure the actualization of the 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿'𝘀 dream of placing the 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 on a pedestal where they can compete favourably with their counterparts around the world. Together we can achieve more.

In Compliance To Federal and State Government Directives On COVID-19, The Very Distinguished Amb Sukubo Saraigbe Sukubo President of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Urges Every Well-meaning Youth Of Nigeria To Adhere To Precautionary Measures In Avoiding The Deadly Virus.
He Further Stressed That It Isn't Easy To Stay Behind Closed doors As Nigerian Youths Are Known For Being Industrious but Assured Them That The Federal Government Through the Ministry of Youths and sports Development Are Putting Modalities In Place To Help Remedy The Sufferings of the Youths Very Soon.
In His Words..... COVID-19 PANDEMIC Is Our Common Enemy, The FG Is Doing Their Part In Putting Laws and Implementing Schemes, Our Part As Youths Is To Obey Precautionary Measures... We Will Survive This. #GodBlessNigeria. ... See MoreSee Less
My dear 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 Y𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 , as we celebrate 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿, we are reminded of love, sacrifice and renewal.
The world has been constrained and restrained by the 𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗗 -𝟭𝟵 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 which like 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 did on the cross, requires all of us to make our own sacrifices to end the spread of the disease. These are trying times all over the world which calls for sober reflection.
The 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 our lord and saviour depicts the possibility of our renewal and rise above all challenges.
I come to you all regardless of religious believes or orientation with a message of hope that we will rise above our present situation, 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿!
I know that the e𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗿𝗲𝗷𝘂𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 of 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮 and in fact every Nation, lies squarely on the shoulders of the Youth. I implore us all to put mind to work as the stay-at-home or lockdown exercise has snoozed economic activities making the Nation bleed money in an attempt to battle the spread of the disease while also trying to maintain law, order and sustain 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆.
Crisis makes great men and leaders just like the need for salvation made Jesus' sacrifice even greater. I strongly believe in the capacity of my 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 to pull this country through during and after the 𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗗 - 𝟭𝟵 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰. Christ did not die and rise again to give life and hope so that a virus will kill us but to wash away our sins and give us salvation, so I implore us to save lives, stay safe, stay at home and obey all 𝗵𝘆𝗴𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 regulations outlined by the 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵, 𝗡𝗖𝗗𝗖 and other relevant authorities.
This is also the best time to 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 just as love led Jesus to die for the world. Share what little you have with others, call friends and ask how they are fairing, reconcile with foes and adversaries.
Once again, happy 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 to you all and while we are not oblivious of the fact that 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬 is celebrated in peculiar circumstances, there shall be better 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 and better days ahead.
May all the blessings that come with 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 and what it stands for reach you all. God bless the 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵. 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮.
